Book Stacking is a great way to get new 6th graders accustomed to where the genres are housed in our library! Its also great fun to see the teamwork used to create the towers!
Library Love

Welcome to our Rustburg Middle School library! Reading can take you anywhere! There is so much excitement in the library this year! Books are flying off the shelves and into our student's hands! All books are checked out for one week, then they need to be renewed or returned. If a book has been "hanging around the house" a while encourage your son or daughter to return it to us! If you need to talk to myself or my wonderful assistant Ms. Moody feel free to call us at 434 332.6596 ext. 351 or email me at wdavis@campbell.k12.va.us.
If you are looking for more information about the books housed in our library feel free to follow the link below to search Destiny Discover .
Lots of reading love,
Mrs. Davis
Welcome to the Rustburg Middle School Library! We are definitely excited for each new school year in the library! Mrs. Davis and Mrs. Moody strive to make the RMS Library the Heart of Our School! So many things happen in the library. Book stacking, book spine poetry, book fairs, book talks, research projects, March Madness, and even scavenger hunts. Each year students can participate in the quarterly academic challenges called Passport Challenges. At the end of each quarter students who complete the challenges get rewarded with an activity and a small treat. The activity is usually a small community service project. An example of this is our Coin Drive for BARCC and Donuts and Dogs where students feasted on donuts and created treat bags for shelter dogs!
We have two bookfairs every year at RMS. One is usually in late September and the other in Late February. Everyone is welcome to come!
We worked hard last year to buy almost 1,000 new books, using our library budget and Book Fair Profits! Our next big purchase will be audio books! Thanks for always supporting us.
