Suggestions from the Counseling Department:

  • Maintain communication with teachers and staff at school.

  • Home should be an extension of the classroom by setting specific times for homework and studying. 

  • Have a plan for how electronic devices will be managed throughout the school year. Too much screen time can have negative impacts on learning, sleep, social relationships, mental health, and communication skills. 

  • Good attendance is a must for school success. Contact your school if you are having trouble getting your child to attend school. 

  • Make time for healthy family activities. 

Mrs. Tracy Greenway-Branch - RMS Counseling Director

Mrs. Greenway-Branch has spent most of her life in the Lynchburg area. She is married to husband Dean, and they have 3 children. Also part of their family are dogs, cats, and horses. In her spare time, Tracy likes to garden, enjoy outdoor activities and travel. Mrs. Greenway-Branch has worked for Campbell County Schools and Rustburg Middle School since 1998, and she loves working with middle school students.

Mrs. Tracey Scott - School Counselor

Mrs. Scott has worked as a counselor in Campbell County since 1997. She is a Campbell County native and a graduate of the University of Lynchburg, formerly known as Lynchburg College. She is married to her husband, Ricky, and they have a son together and she has two "bonus" stepchildren. She enjoys reading, cooking, and assisting her husband in ministry.

Mrs. Pat Dagenhart  RMS Guidance Secretary

Mrs. Pat Dagenhart began her career at RMS in 1999. She is married, has two children, and three beautiful grandchildren.  She appreciates good music and loves going fishing!

Mrs. Rachel Ripley - School Psychologist

Mrs. Rachel Ripley began her career in Campbell County in 2003 and proudly serves CES, RMS, and RHS. She is married to her husband, John, and they have two sons. She enjoys watching her sons play lacrosse, spending time with family, reading, and traveling. 

 


Mrs. Ashley Harris - Student Services Specialist

Mrs. Harris was born and raised in Campbell County and is a proud graduate of Rustburg High School, Class of 2006. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Human Services with a minor in Psychology from Bluefield College and her Master's degree in Human Services with a concentration in Counseling from Regent University. 

Mrs. Harris has worked in the human services field for more than 10 years, serving individuals and families across a variety of settings and age groups. She joined Campbell County Public Schools in January 2024 as a Student Services Specialist. In this role, she works closely with students and their families to identify and connect them with resources and support both within the school system and throughout the community. She is passionate about helping remove barriers that may prevent students from being successful and believes that strong partnerships between schools, families, and community organizations are essential to supporting the whole child. 

Mrs. Harris is married to her husband, Greg, and they have three children and a Labradoodle named Oreo. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, attending and serving at her church, and giving back to and supporting her community.
